We started Luma 1 year ago to help a friend of ours host her yoga classes online. Since then over 2 million people have practiced yoga, learned data science, deepened their spirituality, and found professional mentors in events hosted on Luma. 
Across all of these events, people are coming together with a goal in mind and working with others to achieve that goal. 
The best community leaders spend a lot of time planning events, reviewing applications, introducing new members, orchestrating different software tools, and endless other tasks. With Luma, these community leaders can focus on sharing their knowledge and connecting with members.

🧑‍🎨 Product Designer

As a software engineer, you'll join a full-stack technical team obsessed with building a polished product that our customers love to use.
You'll be more than just an engineer. You will spend time talking to customers, thinking about user experience, and debating business strategy.
What does success look like?
You will ship a ton of code that is elegant to use and read, and you take ownership of it. You can be relied upon throughout its lifecycle.
You are autonomous and a faster learner. You are proactive and can start projects without constant direction.
You will put a lot of thoughts into design, product roadmap, and the details of each feature. You won't just take a project and make it "functional."
You communicate your thoughts and decisions clearly and proactively, and engage with the rest of the team with an optimistic and critical mindset.

Our users host yoga classes, ballet lessons, trivia nights, book clubs and more. They are incredibly talented community leaders who work hard to create welcoming, safe spaces for their members to grow and learn together.
As the Community Lead, you will be the first non-technical member of the team and will work on two things:
Creating a supportive community for our current Luma hosts
Working with prospective hosts and onboarding them to Luma
What does success look like?
You genuinely care about people. People who meet you remark on how present and warm you are.
You are resourceful and will do anything it takes to unblock yourself.
You communicate your thoughts and decisions clearly and proactively, and develop an efficient feedback loop with the product team that allows us to move fast and to the right direction.
